An example of what we can create is the “Blueprint Brooch” in silver, inspired by The Richards Medical Research Labs.

Commissioned by a valued client and designed as a thoughtful retirement gift for an influential mentor. She wanted a bespoke memento to honor a woman who is a champion in architectural conservation, and has devoted a great deal of her time and creativity to the Richards Medical Research Labs in Philadelphia, one of Louis Kahn’s most celebrated buildings.

The idea of creating jewelry inspired by architecture felt like serendipity. The “blueprint” brooch is my abstract interpretation of the building’s floor plan; a quiet translation of space and structure into silver. It distills the architectural language of Louis Kahn’s vision: clarity, order, and light. And it also speaks to her role, not just as a designer, but as a protector.

Jewelry is both private and public. Worn close to the skin, it gathers meaning through touch and time. This brooch is a symbol of legacy; a wearable memory of place, purpose, and quiet stewardship. It is a gesture of admiration, a keepsake of friendship, and a reminder that what we build and preserve, matters.

Do you have a story that needs telling through jewelry?
