My name is Poonam Singh, and I am the creator of Gilded Workbench.

Gilded Workbench is a manifestation of a creative journey exploring spatial geometry, materials, textures, and form. It is visual storytelling with an innately modern, yet timeless, aesthetic. Each piece of jewelry has been meticulously handcrafted for a truly process driven and luxurious feel. My metalsmithing studio is a place where my ideas are translated into reality. All materials are locally sourced and every design is thoughtfully created to evoke connection- to art, to nature, to self.

I have always been deeply passionate about design and using my hands to work with a wide array of materials. My formal training and subsequent years working as an architect and designer helped create a foundation that has stimulated and sustained my growth as a metalsmith. Jewelry is intimate and meaningful, artful and vibrant. I'm privileged to work on my dream of creating wearable art everyday in addition to being a wife and a mother. I am mesmerized by architecture, nature, and poetry and they form the core of my work. The designs I create are nestled deeply in the art that surrounds me everyday.
